I like the Hyderabad pics - some of them are very like other places in India, but some are like nothing I've seen there.
I like the personal quote. It would go down very well with some elderly tribal Indian friends of mine, with whom I had a good laugh about missionaries, Hindu priests, and two groups of anthropologists, one American, and one Indian. All these people had visited the village over the course of these folks' long lives, and all of them had either tried to establish what religion the tribe followed, or to influence them. At first my friends were totally bemused, trying to be co-operative, and trying to make head or tail of what the visiting nutcases were gibbering about. By the end they were reduced to taking the piss mercilessly.
